Murdoch’s best defense is the truth. Vacillating isn’t working for him.

So, now Murdoch has hired a public relations counsel, presumably at this juncture to advise him on a damage control strategy. He could have avoided such a strategy. The best public relations strategy is always telling the truth and accepting responsibility. Even if the truth is worse than imagined and is more painful and further damaging.

Whatever you do in a crisis, don’t do this!
